The Broadway revival of “Cats”, which opened last summer in New York, has posted its closing notice, sticking around through Dec. 30 at the Neil Simon Theater, the musical will launch a national tour that kicks off in Providence in January 2019. “A Chorus Line” is heading back in to London with a new production by Geoids Musical Theatre for a limited run at the Bridewell Theatre from 18th to 23rd July 2017. Son of the Lord, Nicholas Lloyd Webber’s new musical “Fat Friends” is to star ex-cricketer and James Corden associate from tv’s “League Of Their Own”, Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff, opposite Jodie Prenger and Sam Bailey when it tours, opening at Leeds Grand on 11th November. “Bat Out Of Hell” has extended for a further 2 weeks at the Coliseum ahead of a probable transfer to another West End house. Dan Gillespie Sells and Tom MacRae’s new musical “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie” which garnered great reviews at its Sheffield premiere will transfer to the West End’s Apollo Theatre in November. “Five Guys Named Moe” which opens at the new Marble Arch pop-up theatre on 14th Sept has been cast and will star Edward Baruwa. The Menier have announced full casting for “Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole” which runs 14 July to 2 Sept. Trafalgar Studios to host “Songs And Solidarity” to raise funds for victims of Grenfell Tower fire on 25 June. The Old Laundry Theatre in Bowness-on-Windermere will revive Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “By Jeeves” from 9 October to 4 November.
